Prerequisites
Participants need internet access to complete the online theory component. No previous first aid training is required. Participants must be physically able to perform the required skills. Minimum age 12 years.
Course Information
Blended Training consists of online theory ( self study, 8 hours ), this must be successfully completed before attending the in person classroom session ( in person 8 hours, breaks included ). The online training doesn’t have to be completed in one session, you can exit the program at the end of each module without losing your place. When you return you will continue with the next module. Standard First Aid Blended is a comprehensive course offering first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for adults, children and babies, and AED training. Meets federal regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR C. Certification is valid for three years. WorkSafeBC recognizes Standard First Aid and CPR C as equivalent to Level 1 First Aid (OFA Level 1)
Accessing your online training: Within 48 hours of registration, the Canadian Red Cross will email instructions and a link to your online training.
Cancellation Policy
Participants should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the required paperwork. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late for the course will not be able to join the class. A minimum of 1 week advance notice is required for change or cancellation. No-shows will not be eligible for refund.
