Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation. Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course.
$125.00 per person – Course certification and manuals will be in electronic format only issued directly from the Canadian Red Cross on course completion
Audience:
In-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides,medical and dental professionals. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in a fire service,
rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.
Course Content:
- Glove removal
- Primary Assessment
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Airway Obstruction
- Assisted Ventilation
- Oxygen Therapy
- Basic Life Support special consideration
Certification is valid for One year.
Cancellation Policy
Participants should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the required paperwork. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late for the course will not be able to join the class. A minimum of 1 week advance notice is required for change or cancellation. No-shows will not be eligible for refund.
