Prerequisites
Must be at least 16 years of age and be physically able to perform all of the First Aid tasks required to complete the learning tasks. No experience is necessary.
Examination is conducted shortly after the last day of class and is scheduled after each class has commenced. A Statement of Fitness, as well as acceptable personal identification is required prior to Occupational First Aid Attendant certification.
Course Information
The WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level Two course is a 36 hour program and is designed to provide life-saving first aid skills for urban attendants in industry. Initial certification requires full participation and course attendance. Successful candidates must achieve 70% or higher on both practical and written exams. Exams are conducted on a separate date after course completion. Certification is valid for three years.
Successful candidates under 19 years of age will be issued an age restriction certificate. Restricted ticket holders must work under the supervision of an unrestricted ticket holder.
