DESCRIPTION:September 6\, 2024\nFriday\n8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. \n$110 –  Course certification and manuals will be in electronic format only issued directly from the Canadian Red Cross on course completion. \nPrerequisites\nParticipants need internet access to complete the online theory component.  No previous first aid training is required.  Participants must be physically able to perform the required skills.  Minimum age 12 years. \nCourse Information\nBasic one-day course designed to introduce caregivers to injury prevention skills and knowledge. Course covers lifesaving first aid skills and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR and AED) for children\, and babies. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial early childhood education and day care worker safety requirements. \nCancellation Policy\nParticipants should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the required paperwork. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late for the course will not be able to join the class. A minimum of 1 week advance notice is required for change or cancellation. Initial certification requires full participation and course attendance. Successful candidates must achieve 70% or higher on both practical and written exams. Certification is valid for three years. \nSuccessful candidates under 19 years of age will be issued an age restriction certificate. Restricted ticket holders must work under the supervision of an unrestricted ticket holder. \nCancellation Policy\nParticipants should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the required paperwork. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late for the course will not be able to join the class. A minimum of 1 week advance notice is required for change or cancellation. No-shows will not be eligible for refund.

DESCRIPTION:September 26\, 2024\nThursdsay\n8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. \n$165 –  Course certification and manuals will be in electronic format only issued directly from the Canadian Red Cross on course completion \nPrerequisites\nParticipants need internet access to complete the online theory component.  No previous first aid training is required.  Participants must be physically able to perform the required skills.  Minimum age 12 years. \nCourse Information\nBlended Training consists of online theory ( self study\, 8 hours )\, this must be successfully completed before attending the in person classroom session ( in person 8 hours\, breaks included ).  The online training doesn’t have to be completed in one session\, you can exit the program at the end of each module without losing your place.  When you return you will continue with the next module.  Standard First Aid Blended is a comprehensive course offering first aid\, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for adults\, children and babies\, and AED training.  Meets federal regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR C. Certification is valid for three years.  WorkSafeBC recognizes Standard First Aid and CPR C as equivalent to Level 1 First Aid (OFA Level 1) \nAccessing your online training:  Within 48 hours of registration\, the Canadian Red Cross will email instructions and a link to your online training. \nCancellation Policy\nParticipants should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the required paperwork. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late for the course will not be able to join the class. A minimum of 1 week advance notice is required for change or cancellation.
